Annual Meeting October 25th and Proxies

Here at The Willows the temperatures are cooling, flannel shirts are making an appearance, pumpkin spice is everywhere and proxies are in the mail. That means October is about to arrive with your Annual Meeting scheduled for October 25, 2025, 1:00 PM, at the Lake Junaluska Welcome Center, Gaines Meeting Room, 91 North Lakeshore Dr., Lake Junaluska, NC 28745.

October 24th, 2025, is the Deadline Date
On September 8th, the 2025 Directed Proxy Designation & Voting Ballots were mailed to all Members. Take a few minutes to review the voting materials, mark your ballot and return to the POA. Friday, October 24, 2025, 5 PM is the deadline to return your proxy/ballot for the Saturday, October 25, 2025, meeting.
How Do I return my Proxy/Ballot?
By utilizing the stamped envelope provided in the mailing, mail to:
The Willows POA, PO Box 813, Waynesville, NC 28786, or
Attached a copy and email to thewillowspoa@gmail.com or
Text a picture to your Treasurer (visit the Member Info page for the phone number)
Why do we need a Proxy?
A valid Annual Meeting must consist of at least a 60% attendance by Members. The proxy allows for Members to be counted as in attendance even if they are unable to attend the meeting. Without at least a 60% attendance, we have to do this all over again. Submit your proxy even if you are planning to attend the meeting. We never know what life decides to throw at us and plans can unexpectedly change.
REMEMBER, the proxy is only to appoint someone to represent you as in attendance at the meeting. YOUR voting ballot is YOUR choice and your vote will be counted.

RSVP!

Please RSVP for the Annual Meeting from the user-friendly Events page of the website. An accurate count of attendees is important for the setup of the meeting room and you will receive an auto-emailed confirmation and reminder.
